Error?

Encountered the booze box tavern, and when I tried to leave, it gave me that little message and sent me back to where I was (Soul Society)...I didn't lose anything, I just had to travel again. Any ideas?

Yes.
I was in Soul Society, and I tried to travel to Karakura, then I encountered the booze box along the way, and I tried to leave.
It then gave me that message and I was back in Soul Society...

I did the same but no error. anything special you did?

I played black jack with the old man, lost, then tried to get back to the screen (With the -four-? options)

Talk to old man
Talk to -insert long name here-
Game room
Exit Tavern

I think those were the options, I tried to get to that screen afterwards, got that error, then was back at soul society.

I can't pinpoint it. If you can, the next time you leave the tavern write down the address in the browser you have and the link you click to exit the tavern .. that should help me track it.

I encountered the event, went to play black jack, tried to get back to screen with 4 options, and got the same message. Hope this helps.

Also, on the error screen, there's the -only- option to go back to Soul Society, yet when you click on that option, it takes you right back to the screen where you have the option of either entering the tavern or leaving.
