For those who have seen the ending of Death Note *Spoilers*

What did you think of the ending?
Love it? Hate it?
Did you feel bad for Light?
Anything else to say about it?

I personally loved the ending. The only reason Light lost was because he was overcofident, but I thought it was sad how he ended up.

The moral I thought it brought was:
No matter how screwed up the world, no one person can play god and pass judgement like Light did.

I found the ending amusing because I didn't like him after he got all..

Plus the parody of it always makes me giggle.

I liked the ending in the Death Note movie more, though.

At the end of the last episode, it flashes between dying Kira and young Kira when he first got the book like a flashback, but then if you look closely, when it shows dying kira walkng along the peer, a man walks past him who looks exactly like young light. Then it zooms in on  dying lights eyes and they move backward, as though they are looking at the younger kira who just passed, its pretty cool if you see it, sorry if i couldnt explain it well

Actually he was seeing himself before he foudn the Death Note, before e turned into a murderer, the rest you explained pretty well but you forgot the part where you see L staring down at him.

I think that Light started out good and only killed criminals, but soon began killing anyone who got in his way of playing god and passing judgement on people, going as far as killing his father. He started out good but turned into a mass murderer, all the time thinking he was doing the right thing.

I was talking about the manga, not the show. They could be entirely diffrent. In the manga version, I don't believe that they ever said that misa committed suicide.

They didn't in hte anime either, they hinted it thoguh because in the credits she is standing on the ledge of a tall building.

Didn't they say in the Death Note: How to Read 13 that she commited suicide?

to be honest i like the ending altought i like more L than Raito (light) but he could won against near if he hadnt screamed " i win!!" or something stupid like that, he just tought he was invencible BIG mistake, i must admit he was really bright with some plans but he just got overconfident...

mmm... i think Misa suicide well its what i understood with the final scene and i bet she couldnt survive without Raito.

btw funny tip: Raito last name its Reaally funny/wierd/and i dont want to have that last name for sure... XD!!!!!!!!!

I think the Anime's ending was good. It was a lot better than the movie; that was a joke. Near ending > L ending. Much more...tense.

By the way, I could of sworn I saw someone beside Misa on the roof when she was about to suicide...was there anybody there?
