What kinds of advantages (and maybe disadvatages) you get for choosing any races other than "normal" shinigami ? I just started playing this game and i´m planning to make my chara a Rokungai shinigami as soon as i can and and have him join the 11th division (if that´s possible yet) once he´s a full- fledged Shinigami.

I think first you might want to choose what you want to be, evil or good.

Then, start building up your alignment and test out different races. =)

Different members might have different opinions. =)

You can basically be evil, or good. =)
If you decide to be good, you will have the option to pick out from a couple of races, same goes with being evil.

Just try getting up to level 10 and kill the boss, then you will see. =)

Does that mean that if i don´t manage to change my alignment by the time I take on the boss I´ll still be stuck with being a "normal" shinigami ? And do you have any good tips on how to quickly change my alignment ?

I am not too sure about that.
You probably still get to choose other races, just try it out. Kill the boss at level 10. =)

Well, if you want to be good, make decisions that a good person would make.
If you want to be evil, make decisions that a bad person would make.

Example:
Here little boy, have a gem= Good deed
Give me your gold little boy= bad deed.

You will spot events which help you in your alignment change, and just travel around and explore places as well.
